We offer a wide variety of tours, each and every one of them can be tailored to your needs and preferences: from a leisurely, only slightly bumpy sightseeing drive, to a full blown hardcore experience, with the mandatory "thank god we made it" at the finish line.
We offer self-driving 4x4 tours in Europe and beyond - for those who already know their home turf by heart and are ready to unlock some new challenges.
We offer to teach you how to put to proper use 4x4 vehicle that you already own, because we know for a fact that tarmac rarely leads to the places worth visiting.

Private & Corporate 4X4 events in Latvia
Private events: our vehicles hosted all imaginable occasions: friend reunions, birthdays, countless stag and hen parties. But you don't have to wait for a special occasion - all you need is to be in the mood for adventures!
Corporate events: we boast extensive experience in corporate events. No matter the size of your team, we believe that Baltic mud is the right glue to bond your free thinking individuals into a single well operating team!
On both private and corporate leisure events each vehicle comes with an instructor and seats a maximum of 4 adventurers, but you will be more comfortable with 3 participants per vehicle. Minimum recommended duration is 2 hours excluding transfer - this way every participant gets his fair time by the wheel. Depending on your preferred duration, competitive activities, sightseeing and picnic may be incorporated into event.
To give you a better idea, we summarised and described our typical event course in 3 difficulty levels. Read more below and keep in mind that we are open to alterations.
Vanilla and Wildride are a day long driving events for 4x4 vehicle owners. You will get a chance to mingle with like minded people and enjoy the spirit of exploration and comradery.
Chances are you are going to get hooked: we have a little something for everybody.
Are you the owner of a stock SUV, and would like to explore the offroading capabilities of your vehicle in the safe environment guided by a an experienced instructor? Hop in your car, and join our Vanilla.
Are you guilty of being a petrolhead who can not, for the love of God, pass by any mud pit? We've got you covered, literally and figuratively - all you have to do is join our next Wildride.
4X4 Tours Abroad
Some say that plane is the best way to travel, others swear by bullet trains. We know for a fact that the best way to travel is by your own 4x4. Travelling by car reveals the local culture vibes that you wouldn't have noted otherwise and immerses you in a local way of life. The sense of freedom you gain by not being bound to check-in, check out, boarding, and queuing is a unique experience in itself, but combined with a fact that many worthwhile places are inaccessible otherwise, you get your money's worth many times over!
We offer a wide array of tours accompanied by local guides and experienced 4x4 instructors.
This is the best option for experienced 4X4 vehicle owners who already know their home turf by heart and are ready for new challenges.

4X4 Training course
If you are an owner of 4X4 vehicle that never went off the tarmac this course is for you.
If you already have 1st hand experience in off - road you too will find this course useful: our course is cheaper than repair costs due to uneducated use of 4x4.
Our instructors will lead you through all the technicalities of going where no road goes: you will learn about geometrical parameters of your vehicle, additional equipment that you might need, and last but not least, you will apply your new knowledge on an obstacle course.
Tailored Experience
for Any Occasion
Our fleet consists of various 4x4 classics. You will drive Land Cruisers, Land Rovers, Nissans and Jeeps as they were meant to: across stony riverbeds, up and down on steep hills and axle - deep into juicy mud pits. Each vehicle is specifically equipped for negotiating various types of terrains and obstacles. Our team of experienced instructors is here to guide and advice you on how to unlock the full off-roading potential of our vehicles.
There is even more to our events than just driving - we strive to create a once-in-a-lifetime experiences for our clients. To achieve that, we offer a wide array of additional services that cover not only your basic comfort and adventurising needs, but also add a little extra on top of your tour.
Photography
If you crave to immortalize your motoring event for years to come in an unfading jpeg format, our in-house professional photographer will come in handy. With a nearly 10 year experience in shooting specifically 4x4 events, she knows best spots to ambush the action, best angles to capture splatters, and best photoshop to make you happy.
Transfer
It is possible to arrange a pick up and drop off at your desired location: home, airport or your office - not only in Riga, but also in any other location in Latvia. Our tracks criss-cross the entire Baltic region and we know all the best accommodations.
Sightseeing
If you are hungry to explore some history and culture in Latvia, we can make it happen. Our tours may incorporate visits to various points of interest - historical manor houses, abandoned army bases, natural curiosities, or even visit to local craftsmen workshops for some quality infotainment and souvenirs.
Catering
We can arrange catering services on the spot - imagine having a restaurant experience with freshly cooked and professionally served meal after traversing some
boggy-bogs and hilly-hills. White tablecloth for you and your fellow off - roaders in the midst of a fairy tale moss covered forest of tall Baltic pines.
Merchandise
If your group activities include competitive elements, it is possible to create a unique 4x4 themed mementos for the winners. Depending on your preferences it can be anything: from custom diplomas, to unique prizes - like homemade honey or traditional pottery.

Artūrs Voļskis
Founder of 4x4overland - 4x4 professional since 2001, has a background in tourism and hospitality. Japanese at heart - precise, detail oriented, with very high work ethics and people skills. Has driven in the Sahara's sand pits, Corse's goat trails and Albanian peaks. Current 4x4 goal - to drive on a volcano in Japan.
Veronika Voļska
Muse, photographer, graphic designer, copy writer, art director and painter - each time in a different order. Also known as Arthur`s wife, 4x4 professional since their first date. Also answers to "universal soldier". Current 4x4 goal: enjoy Albania.
Vilnis Barkāns
Our team member since 2018. Teamed with Aivars Ozols, participates in various Trophy events since 2015, both in Latvia and Baltic region. In 2021 placed second in Latvian trophy raid.
Māris Odziņš
Our team member since the very beginning, back in 2005. Off-roading since 2001. Competed in various trophy groups for 8 seasons often finishing in top positions.

Our teammate since 2014, driving 4x4 since 2013. Adventurer at heart - when he is not driving his "red panther" 4x4, you'll find him paddling in the channels of Venice, hugging some Norwegian mountaintop, or hiking a tea plantation.
Aivars Ozols
Our team member since 2018. Teamed with Vilnis Barkāns participates in various Trophy events since 2015 - both in Latvia and Baltic region. In 2021 placed second in Latvian trophy raid.. Brave on the route, but shy on camera.

Been travelling unpaved roads since 2002.
We love to explore and to share our discoveries with you. However, our deepest priority is safety: not only yours, but also safety of environment we are enjoying together.
We strive to leave no trace, that's why we use only existing natural roads. Each of our events is approved by local and state forest authorities. We take part in annual forest restoration efforts, and out of sheer respect, we never - ever drive over mushrooms. We pick them up and take them for a ride!*
